Litigation Associate with 1 to 3 Years of Experience
Job Description
We are seeking an associate with 1-3 years of litigation experience and an entrepreneurial mindset to join our team. Our primary practice areas include real estate litigation, collections, estate litigation and disciplinary proceedings on behalf of real estate brokerages and brokers and agents. This is a great opportunity for an attorney with 1 to 2 years of civil litigation experience. The Associate will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, attending and conducting motions, depositions and court appearances.
Qualifications
1 to 3 years of litigation experience
Strong written-advocacy and legal-research experience
Requires a self-starter personality
Good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
Responsibilities
Handle all aspects of litigation including examinations, mediations, hearings, and trials
Ability to independently evaluate and manage a litigation caseload
Work closely with other lawyers and staff on assigned legal matters
Must be comfortable with juggling multiple projects and deadlines
